I met people who made me look at the world from another perspective. CS doesn't only make the world smaller CS is a whole better world by itself" |

Sunday. My request to a Couch Surfer in Austin was a bit bizarre, but I knew that if there was anywhere I might get a positive response, it would be
through the Couch Surfing community. I asked the Couch Surfer to take 5 yellow roses (my best friend's favorite) to her house on her birthday to show her that even though we're 4000 miles apart, I support her through this hard time. The Couch Surfer agreed! I'll be sending her some French language recordings and other tidbits from Corsica in return. Thank you, Couch Surfing, for helping us unite, connect, and support one another." |

The way it handles references, complaints and verifications is brilliant. The 'spirit of couchsurfing' is made clear on almost every page possible and that is what keeps the spirit alive and the website successful in its objectives.
I shot a mail to one of the members seeking information on some local restaurants and I got a reply in 30 minutes with a huge list of the best eateries in his city, something you won't find anywhere on the internet." |
